A physical evaluation provides our medical team with an initial idea of the “most likely suspects” leading to a couple’s in fertility. Often the medical history alone leads us to the right diagnosis and allows us to accelerate the evaluation and treatment process. Examples include a history of chemotherapy or a family history of premature menopause. Similarly, the history might lead us to suggest important life style changes or improved coital timing.

We find it helpful to have new patients complete a comprehensive health history, either “on line” through our Web site or on paper, prior to the initial visit. We also like to review each new patient’s previous medical records before our first meeting so that we have a good background for discussion of diagnostic and treatment options.
